Drove home yesterday after spending a few days with Jack. It kills me to leave him, I love him so much.
Jack has the most amazing imagination. We go into the back yard and create fantastical adventures where monkeys swing from trees, hideout from the bad guys, find treasure and of course slay all the Zombies so LA is safe from attack. We get soaked up in our escapades, there is no time, just the now.
Jack and I love to shoot, stab and behead all the Zombies in his back yard. After filling a bucket with Zombie heads I asked him where they come from. “Zombies come from Santa Monica, Grandma.” So now you know.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Even though my children, Matthew, Catherine and Michael are all grown up…to me they are still the tiny babies, swaddled in the hospital blankie.
To my own Mother,,,Happy Mother’s Day. You are missed so much by your family and friends.
Wow! Grandma’s today are way different from the way my Grandma’s were.
Except of course, for our complete and all-consuming love for our most beautiful, precious, talented, intelligent, can-do-nothing-wrong angels.
Jack. Oh My….Jack.
After Jack’s Daddy, Keef, held him seconds after he was born, Keef placed my Grandson, Jack Derrick Bartkus in my arms. How can a heart fill with joy and love so quickly? Grandma’s,,,you know what I am talking about.
